Shizen Ryu Budo

Shizen Ryu Budo Shizen Ryu Budo is a system of mixed martial arts, started in Japan by Robert Eugene Knott Jr. (8th dan in karate-do). Shizen Ryu Budo emphasizes natural body movements, relaxation, and healthy breathing rhythm in its teachings. Students learn karate-do kata, taekwondo kicking, hapkido/aikido locks and throws, kenpo routines, and the basics of bojutsu. At the black belt levels, students also delve into self-protection methods used by law-enforcement and military personnel to disarm and disable life-threatening adversaries.
